The structure of mambo, which is a fusion of big band jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythmic organization, has become the basic format for many New York salsa bands. When I first listened to this album long time ago in the 70s, I could not believe that Deep Purple played this kind of music that was hard to understand. The Double Concerto in A minor, Op. 102, by Johannes Brahms is a concerto for violin, cello and orchestra. The Zarathustra quotation continues, further suggesting the failure to authenticate the original meaning of the treatise. A number of French and Italian opera composers also drew on exotic themes: notably Verdi in p. 275) and his Turandot, drawn from an ancient Persian fable and set in China. The piano was originally known as the pianoforte, Italian for “ soft- loud” (see Btw, p. 36) which suggests its wide dynamic range trolled by a keyboard mechanism.
