Note that as music evolved, composers increasingly began to exercise their freedom and creativity, to the extent that at times they even broke away from these styles. Examples would include guitars (though many pop songs will make use of acoustic rather than or in addition to electric guitars), synthesizers/keyboards (in pop music, they are a bit obvious while not commonly used in rock music), bass, drums, and occasionally pianos. It doesn't matter how many sections the piece has (e.g., if the piece is A-B-A-C-A), it is still a rondo.

In Protestant Germany, dramatic music composed for use in the Lutheran church gradually became fused with elements of the oratorio, especially in the inclusion of non-Biblical texts. His Piano Concerto no 2 (1881) has four movements and is written on a larger scale than any earlier concerto. By 1972, all of the glorious precursors bands were selling fewer records and had problems renewing themselves and a newer generation of groups was relying in a more Celtic jigs or really traditional sounds.

Sidelight: As a grammatical, rhythmic, and dramatic device, as well as an effective means of avoiding monotony, the caesura is a subtle but effective weapon in the skilled poet's arsenal. As such, it carries the reader to the point by the completeness of pertinent details, making the incident tangible for the reader. This would become the standard of this genre, opening the game format up to multi-player deathmatches that would become so important to the format that some put little effort into story and the single-player experience in general (i.e., Unreal Tournament and Quake III).
